Acute and Subacute Spongiotic Dermatitis are both forms of eczema or dermatitis. The word spongiotic means ‘little blisters’ which is what is the foundation in all cases of eczema. Acute and subacute spongiotic dermatitis are one among the most commonly diagnosed general types of dermatitis or eczema. It is actually one of the three types of dermatitis that is a representation of a pathologic continuum where it its chronic and hereditary.
