It has been shown in the research that dermatitis usually occurs as a result of interaction between a combination of our immune systems, the general physical environment and genetic factors. The immune system of most dermatitis sufferers is extremely sensitive and as a consequence are more prone to react to a large number of irritants and allergens. It is believed that most people who suffer from dermatitis come from a family with a long term history of allergic conditions.
